A Mombie is a real thing and other life updates…

A Mombie is a real thing.

It’s only Wednesday… And the “Mom-bie” inside is fighting hard to take over!

Have you been there? “Mom-bie” mode?

As defined by the Urban Dictionary:

a woman who has a child and becomes a different person than she was before; her conversations all revolve around toilet training, feeding schedules, and the occasional housework; so-called because there’s a certain glazed look in the eyes and she appears to have been brainwashed.
The twins struggle with insomnia and we have had several very long nights in a row with them getting up 4-5 times. It’s one thing to get up several times a night with infants… But getting up with irrational 2 year olds????
Forget about it!
The Mombie won yesterday. The glazed eyes and all ruled the day. Oh well. Here’s to fighting her off today!

My oldest turned NINE!!!!

Jayden’s birthday marks the beginning of the cluster of birthdays my children all have in the months of May, Jun, July & August.

I can hardly believe that I have been a mommy for nine years.

Jayden is the most spectacular kid. He is sweet and outgoing and feels like it is totally appropriate to invite 45 people to his birthday party!

We reigned in the number of invites he was allowed to have and we will be having his Nerf War Birthday party this Saturday. I will let you know how much fun he has!

I started a probiotic because coffee is screwing with me.

I am in love with coffee. It sustains me and helps battle the Mombie away.

But lately, it has been screwing with my stomach. Which makes me so very sad…

Cinnamon Brown Sugar Syrup-3

I started a probiotic which has already helped calm my stomach down and has even been giving me more energy.

Do you take a probiotic?

Leather Earrings are my FAVORITE!!!

My sister gave me a pair of leather earrings for Christmas and I became obsessed with them!

They are so lightweight, unique, and a statement piece for any outfit.

I decided to create my own line of Leather Jewelry for our boutique, Jade and Jazz Boutique and our first line of earrings launched today!

If you haven’t joined our exclusive boutique deals group, you NEED TO!!!! This week we are having a free shipping event!

I am challenging myself to learn how to make Pasta this month.

I really enjoy learning new techniques and skills in the kitchen.

Making pasta has been on the list for a while. Pasta is my comfort food. And I love good homemade pasta!

Plus, a friend of mine has given me FIFTY pounds of semolina flour!!! (I know! It’s a huge bag!) No excuses now! HA!

Ragu Homestyle Four Cheese Lasagna-2

Well, Friends…

This has been a short life update. It’s time to get back to the craziness.

You know I love ya! Thanks for being the most AMAZING friends in the whole world!!!

Your Happy Mombie,

Tell Me: What are you challenging yourself to learn?

Hmm, actually right now I would say that I am challenging myself to weed out the things in my life that aren’t making me happy, concentrating on what does and let the chips fall where they may 😉
As for learning… that’s on the back burner until the first part is complete!

Happy Birthday Jayden! He is adorable. Probiotics keeps my love affair with coffee (and wine) going. When my stomach acts up they are the first thing I reach for. Then my stomach gets better and I forget to take them and the cycle goes on & on….Love the earrings and homemade pasta. Hope you guys have a great party!!!!!

Me, I’m just trying to read a book for book club, but I can never finish! LOL! Yes, I too take a probiotic. I feel like it keeps me from bloating.

I hadn’t heard the term “mombie.” Makes total sense. Sounds like you have a lot of overwhelming things going on. Pasta helps everything! It’s my favorite food and making it can be so fun.

I am challenging myself to learn how to be less critical of myself. I am trying really hard. BTW that pasta dish looks amazing.

That is a really great challenge Rebecca. I am very critical of myself too. I love that you are tackling that!

I’m feeling the mombie thing this week. My husband is in grad school so it’s just me and the kids most of the time. I’m ready to have some help when he’s done.
