3 Reasons to Add Music to your Christmas List for the Kids

Toys are nice gifts for Christmas, but they don’t last long. They break, get old, or the kids loose interest. Are you looking for a gift that will last a lifetime? Here are 3 reasons to add music to your Christmas List for the kids this year.

Fender

As a mom to six children, I am no stranger to the long list of toys on my kids Christmas wish lists. And while I want to give them some of the fun toys on their lists, I also know those toys won’t last.

Every year I try to find a gift that will last not just for a few months, but a lifetime. Experiences, lessons, or investments of time make life-long memories that will never wear out!

Fender

Here are 3 reasons I am adding Fender Play Music Lessons to my kids Christmas lists!

Improve brain power and memory in my children.
Studies have shown that music stimulates the part of the brain related to math, reading, and emotional development. Memory is also improved due to the repetition music stimulates in the brain.

Improved grades in school and a better memory for finding their shoes??? YES!!!

A new way to use screen time!
Electronics are not going away. They are becoming more and more integrated into our every day life. But that doesn’t mean we have to let our children waste the day away watching endless youtube videos that may or may not be turning their brains to mush!

Fender Play lessons are all online. You can play them via the mobile app and access simple, instructor-led lessons any time of the day. The “Hear It, Learn It, Play It” approach breaks guitar lessons into easy-to-learn, bite-size nuggets that keeps your kids motivated and inspired.

No other major brand offers online guitar lessons like Fender. And I love that my child will be able to play along with his favorite songs instead of having to struggle with theory based learning.

Learning the guitar will give them confidence and make a lifetime of fun.
Learning a new instrument will develop a new level of confidence in your child. I love watching my children learn and master new skills. Their belief in themselves enters a whole new level.

My family is obsessed with music. I am very confident that these Fender Play lessons will give us plenty of days playing the guitar and singing along together in the future.

This is such a wonderful idea. I’m way more about giving the gift of an experience than just more *stuff*. I think it would be kind of fun to learn the piano.

This is something I would have loved my parents to get me when I was younger. That’s one talent I wish I had. I would still love to play drums.

My son loves music. He owns 2 Fender guitars as well as a Tuba and trombone. He really is very talented and music is a great gift to give anyone.

I’m the grinch in my family that hates toys, they have too many already why do they need more! I’m all about experiences instead, my little ones are getting zoo passes again this year.

I always wanted to learn to play guitar when I was younger. But my mum and dad didn’t encourage me to go ahead and do it so I never did. My son has expressed an interest in playing the drums, though, so maybe I will treat him to some lessons for Christmas 🙂

I learned to play the piano when I was younger. My son loves playing the guitar and drums and is actually pretty good for having no instruction yet.
