How are you all enjoying Pumpkin Spice season? I know we are very close to Christmas & Holly Season, but I plan on getting everything I can out of Fall this year! Pumpkins come out in full force for Halloween, but they carry over through Thanksgiving so nicely.
I cannot tell you how much my entire family is looking forward to Pumpkin Pie in a few weeks! But while we wait, I made these AMAZING Pumpkin Snickerdoodles!
These Pumpkin Snickerdoodles were so simple to make and the kids just devoured them! They were the perfect treat for Halloween weekend. Read more
Cookie season is in FULL Swing!!! I don’t know about you, but the holiday season means lots and lots of baking going on with amazing smells and delicious productions every weekend. It’s my favorite! Who can resist homemade cookies like Caramel Apple Oatmeal Cookies, Pumpkin Snickerdoodles, Banana Oatmeal Chocolate Chip, Gingersnaps, Molasses Cookies, Sugar Cookies, and the list goes on and on and on….
These Caramel Apple Oatmeal Cookies are so moist and soft. They are a big, moist muffin in cookie form! Read more
I raise my hand and shamelessly admit that I am addicted to cookies!!! And not just cookies, but cookie dough! (I know, you aren’t supposed to eat raw eggs…Don’t need the lecture…Cause I am going to keep doing it anyways…) We are especially addicted to any kind of Chocolate Chip cookie in our house. And of course, they need to be soft and chewy. Read more
This Cranberry Relish my favorite! I never liked Cranberry Sauce or Relish until I tried this recipe. I first tasted it NINE Thanksgivings ago when I came to Michigan for the first time with my fiancé (He asked me to marry him on our way to the airport!!! I, of course, said “Yes!”). My soon-to-be-mother-in-law made it for me. She found a recipe to copy from Zender’s Restaurant in Frankenmuth, MI. (A beautiful little German Town in Michigan. It’s biggest claim to fame is a GIGANTIC Christmas store, Bronners) I have been making it ever since! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this recipe! It also freezes really well.
Grab yourself some beautiful red Cranberries while they are in season and crush them in your blender (You are looking for chunks. Don’t pulverize them). Dump Cranberries in a big bowl.
Next, core a few Apples. (I personally love Fuji Apples for this recipe, but any firm, crunchy apple will do). Chop them in the blender and dump in the bowl with Cranberries. Read more
There is no denying that I am addicted to Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough! I love it! What is so awesome is that when I make these Chocolate Chip Cookies not only do I get some fabulous cookies…I also get to eat the dough! Yum!
It was my brilliant idea to make cookies for our neighbors, friends, and Church Christmas Party, oh, and Liz’s co-workers too! What a good idea when you are pregnant and have two very active, curious little boys! (HA!) It only took me FIVE days to get them made and packaged. (I must say, I am pretty happy with the results. Even if I am all “sugared” out.)
I decided to make ~Sugar Cookie Cutouts (Better Homes and Gardens recipe doubled ) ~Ginger cookies (new recipe found on Allrecipes.com doubled) ~Coconut Macaroons (Ina Garten’s recipe from Foodnetwork.com) ~Chocolate Chip Cookies (my Mom’s Recipe)
Here are some of the pics from the cookie “event” which took most of the week. But thanks to naptime and my sister (who truly is my right hand!), we got it all done.
Here are some pics we snapped with flour and sugar covered hands!
Hope that you enjoy some holiday baking yourself! I am so thankful that my mom took the time to teach us girls how much fun cookie baking can be. (that and how yummy cookie dough is!)
