Did you know that Teacher Appreciation week was last week? (May5-9) I panicked a few weeks ago thinking that I had missed Teacher Appreciation and actually gave a whole lot of appreciation a few weeks early! My son’s teacher and assistant didn’t mind at all though. If you missed out on the official week, don’t worry, I am pretty sure it is okay to appreciate your child’s teacher at any time during the school year.
Jayden picked out some tulips for them and we brought them breakfast cookies one morning. You don’t have to break the bank to show your teachers how much you love them. One morning, when chatting with one of Jayden’s teachers, she mentioned how rushed she is to make dinner when she gets home. That gave me the perfect idea! I was going to make a homemade meal ready to go into the oven for my teachers to give them a night off from making dinner!
I was BEYOND Excited to open my new Ninja Ultima Blender!!! I have had an older model for a few years and was super impressed with it. I knew that the newest Ninja would be awesome. I just didn’t know it would TOTALLY BLOW ME AWAY!!
Okay. I know it sounds like I am a tad over excited about a blender. But, I use my blender a lot! Homemade salsa, fruit smoothies for the kids, hummus, milk shakes, the list goes on. The Ninja Ultima is very powerful and comes with the large pitcher with three blades for big jobs or if you are looking for a single serve size, it also came with 3 individual serving cups with lids!
We love French Fries in our house. Of course, that is pretty much a given when you have three boys running around eating everything in site!
We don’t go out to eat very often, but when we do we always seem to end up with a few leftover french fries to bring home. Microwaved-re-heated fries are “YUCK!” (as Jordan says.) My mom told me about an easy and simple way to make your fries crispy and delicious again!
Toss your fries in a frying pan. Turn on med-high heat and heat until crispy. The heat of the pan brings out the oils on the outside of the fries and gets them sizzling taking them from flimsy to crispy! Really, they taste as good as they were at the restaurant!
