Yesterday evening, we went up to Frankenmuth, MI (a German Christmas Town), and met Jon’s family there for a little Christmas festivities. Frankenmuth is certainly a magical town and known for Bronner’s; the world’s largest Christmas store. (It’s as big as a Walmart!)
It was so much fun. First, we stuffed ourselves with some good German eating at Zehnders. (No, I did not take pictures. I was too busy eating!) After dinner (where Jimmy ate more then I did), it was decided that it would be fun to go on a carriage ride around the city. Normally, these carriages carry a maximum of six passengers. (and these must be small people of course) Well, we convinced the driver that we would be more then comfortable with eight of us! And we all piled in! It was extremely snug, to say the least, but a fun time and a very pretty ride. (Jimmy and Jayden had gas the whole time too! Haha!)
After the tight carriage ride, we drove down to the MOST amazing Christmas store EVER!!! Bronners! Seriously, I could go anytime of the year (and I have)! Jimmy was only a few months old the first time he went. This was an experience for him that was so neat to watch! We let him out of the stroller. And…
And then, to top the whole night off, we went and saw Santa Claus! Jayden was super excited. And had planned exactly what he was going to ask for.
I hope you have some magical moments this Christmas season with your family. You don’t have to go to a Christmas village to have one. Just turn the lights off in the living room and stare at your beautiful Christmas tree all lit up and beautiful! Or watch the Muppets Christmas Carol (which we are doing as I am typing. Jon can literally quote this movie!) Christmas doesn’t have to be extravagant or expensive. It’s the little moments that make it such a good thing!
So, a very Merry Christmas Season to you!
Love,
Keikilani
