I love that I get the opportunity to celebrate so many amazing things in the lives of people around me! This month my sister and I threw a baby shower for a very sweet lady in our church, Nicole. She is having a boy. And although I wouldn’t have guessed it, she and her husband are planning a John Deere theme for their baby. That of course sent my mind spinning with ideas and searching the internet for some do-it-yourself decor and food.
This is what we came up with.
(There aren’t a ton of pictures because I totally forgot to take more once guests started arriving. Plus, I need a camera other then my phone camera!!!)
I love hanging things from the ceiling! We made these yarn balls. Super easy.
Wanting to incorporate some “hay” we used rafia. I also tied some of this around her invitations.
This is the beautiful mamma, Nicole!
She is holding my favorite creation of the day… A rice krispie treat cake!
(Looks a little like hay bales right?)
We had multiple desserts. This is the cake I ran out of time to make myself, but it was still yummy!
This is the first time I ever made cake pops! They were sooooo easy and soooo worth it!
(who wouldn’t like cake on a stick?!)
Like I said not a ton of pics to show you….sorry.
I have learned that less is more sometimes with parties. You don’t have to be crazy or expensive! Put your time and effort into a few projects and then supplement with easy things like balloons and streamers. (always a good choice to put effort into dessert!)
We are super excited to meet this little guy! I’m praying for a fast and easy delivery for this sweet Mamma! We love you Nicole!!!!
