Sometimes you desire a really yummy chocolate cake that you can literally throw into your stand mixer and whip together in a jiffy! Our youngest son turned 3 years old this week (Holy Moly! How did he get sooooo old???) and I needed a birthday cake once again. (Once the end of March hits we have non-stop birthdays around here!) This Chocolate Chip Pound Cake is the perfect cake for chocoholics and the busy mom. A cake mix, pudding mix and a few other ingredients from the fridge and BAM! chocolate cake!
Jordan is such a cool kid! He is a sweetheart and a dinosaur all wrapped up together.
- 1 box Chocolate Cake Mix
- 1 (5.9 oz) box Instant Vanilla Pudding Mix
- 3/4 C. Milk
- 1 C. Sour Cream
- 3 Eggs
- 1 C. Chocolate Chips
- Dump cake mix, pudding mix, milk, sour cream and eggs into stand mixer bowl. Whip together until thoroughly combined. Stir in chocolate chips.
- Spray bunt pan with non-stick cooking spray.
- Bake at 350˚ of 50-55 mins.
**Truth** I can find all kinds of random things to celebrate and make this cake for! HA!
If you are turned off by box cake mixes…. I promise this one takes the cake! (pun intended)

Pound cake is right up there on my list of favorite desserts. Adding chocolate chips is such a sweet touch to a usual recipe. Using a cake mix to cut down on time is a great idea!
