School is just around the corner! How did summer go by so quickly?
We have had a very busy summer with a big move for our family the finalization of our adoption, and lots and lots of hours in the pool!
I am ready for the routine that school brings. I know that it will be a lot more busy, but there is something comforting knowing the schedule of the day and having a plan. I know I thrive in Motherhood when I am feeling good and am prepared for the crazy days of school.
While we are settling into our new routine, we are also getting exposed to new germs and I for one DO NOT want to be sick! We are proactively guarding ourselves by stocking up on items that will keep our immune system strong and comfort us when we are feeling under the weather. Emergen-C and ChapStick are just a few items that we always have in our home during the school year. I always grab a little for our stockpile whenever I am at Walmart.
ChapStick is essential for softening and protecting lips every day with 11 moisturizing ingredients. SPF 12 provides UVB protection. Hydrating formula contains aloe and vitamin E. All my children love using ChapStick. I put one in the big boys backpacks to have on hand at school and the little ones get to put a little on every day before we leave.
We love smoothies in our house and I have found an easy way to add an extra vitamin c boost every day is through individual smoothies! With just a little prep time I have individual smoothies ready to blend up and enjoy! Emergen-C is packed with B vitamins, antioxidants†, electrolytes plus more vitamin C than 10 oranges. With over 20 flavors, we have plenty of delicious varieties to choose from. *These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. Using Emergen-C packets in my smoothie is not only great for supporting my immune system, but I LOVE the flavor boost it adds to my smoothie! I use Emergen-C Kidz for the kids smoothies and I can tell you they down them fast.
These individual smoothies are perfect for breakfast on-the-go or an after school treat. Especially while we are still experiencing those hot days of the end of summer.

Smoothies are always such an ordeal at our house, because it takes a lot to make for 6 kids. I love the idea of these make-ahead smoothies, so my big kids could make their own, or even make one for themselves and a younger sibling!
