I have written 2016 instead of 2017 already 392 times this year!!!
Feels like I am never going to get used to it!!!
2016 was a big year for my family!
I started out the year with a One Word Resolution instead of a list of resolutions. FOCUS was my word. I wanted to focus on several things this year and I believe I accomplished my one word resolution!
We made a huge move across the country from Michigan to Texas!
It was a big decision for our family. But I am so thankful we took the risk and made the decision to make this big change. I am not telling you everything has been easy with this transition, but I am at peace and am so amazed at how my family is thriving.
Our ADOPTIONS FINALIZED!!!!!!
What the What!!?!?!??! So very, very happy to have these babies securely in our family FOREVER! Our family is complete. We are so thankful and blessed. The journey from Foster Care to Adoption was tumultuous. But it was worth every moment of unknowns. I wrote several posts on Foster Care and Adoption last year, which have been shared quite a few times. I hope this year I can be a little more open with you about the raw experience of Foster Care and Adoption. To be honest, I’m not ready yet. But I know that hearing stories from those who have been through this journey helps others to take the first step. I pray that some of you reading will be brave and crazy and take that first step to adopt and foster.
All My Good Things expanded!
This year I monetized my blog and began working with several brands doing sponsored content, recipes and reviews. I love writing so much. And there is no doubt that I am obsessed with cooking and my family!
Thank you to all of you FABULOUS readers who follow, like, and share what I write. I, of course, would not be able to make this my job without all of you!
I began reviewing cars too this year! I love to drive! And really have enjoyed test driving different vehicles. The latest SUV to make it in my driveway was the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. I had not driven a Mitsubishi prior to this. I enjoyed the drive in this five passenger SUV. This care is backed by an incredible 10 year/100,000 mile powertrain limited warranty (one of the best in the industry!)
You know I am all about that Space! I want to know just how much space is available to me in a vehicle. The Outlander has up to 49.5 cubic feet of cargo area with rear fold-flat seating.
MPG is 24/30 and I am always happy when an SUV delivers great gas mileage! Seven airbags line this car for a high standard of safety. The Outlander Sport starts at $19,795. Check out more specs and details HERE.
My little sister got Married!!!!
I was so honored to be her Matron of Honor! She was the MOST beautiful bride!!! My new brother-in-law, Rob is a pretty awesome guy. I am so happy that my sister is happy! I did my very best not to cry and ruin my make up at her wedding. I did a pretty good job and made it the whole day!
My kids went crazy on the dance floor during her reception. They were absolutely hilarious. Jayden is a dancing fiend! Their favorite songs were Shut Up and Dance with Me, Uptown Funk, and I’m a Believer.
We Bought a Tanning Salon and Opened an Online Boutique
In August we bought a tanning salon which had a small boutique in the front of the store. We decided to turn one business into two and expanded the boutique online. Thus JADE & JAZZ BOUTIQUE was born!
If you have not joined our online boutique group on Facebook, you MUST do so ASAP!!! We are all about fashionable & cute boutique clothes, accessories, & jewelry at prices I would pay myself.
Bonus to me is I get to wear all the lovely clothes I am selling!!!! Yay Me!
Thoughts for 2017
This year I am determined to become PURPOSEFUL in 2017. With six gorgeous children to look after and keep fed and out of trouble… and 3 baby business to grow… I have to be on task.
I don’t want to turn into a workaholic. But I also want to see my dreams become a real life reality! I believe that with careful planning, focus, and positive reinforcement I will see God do big things in our lives this year!
We have some pretty big goals for our family. If I am honest, I have a lot of moments where I panic a little (or a lot) on the inside. But these dreams are worth it. My family is worth it. I am blessed to have such an amazing partner in life. Jon supports and pushes me to find and follow my dreams. Quit is not an option. It is time to buckle down and get serious about making this life amazing and loving everything I do!
I hope 2016 was a good year for you. I know that many people were happy to see 2016 end. 2017 is fresh with many possibilities! I hope that you will join me in the journey of continuing to find ALL the GOOD THINGS in life this year.
Happy New Year,
Keikilani
Tell me something amazing that happened in 2016 for you!

Wow! You weren’t kidding when you said it was a big year. First and foremost, congrats on your beautiful family. Secondly, good luck with your new businesses. And finally, where in Texas are you? I’m in Galveston. My family is in Houston and we have loads of friends in Austin because we lived there for six years. I wish you an amazing 2017!
