I am obsessed with salsa! Our family can’t get enough of this easy Restaurant Style Blender Salsa. Make it in less than 10 minutes with the Ninja BlendMax DUO.
Why is it that when you go to Mexican restaurants and they place that basket of warm tortilla chips and bowl of tomatoey goodness of salsa you eat your WEIGHT in chips and salsa?!
Who else should just is with me and should not order anything else on the menu?!
I can’t stop myself. It’s just so, so good!
When I find myself obsessed with something at a restaurant I usually challenge myself to make it at home. This recipe is so easy!
I throw everything into my Ninja BlendMax and let it do all the hard work. And within minutes… Restaurant Style Blender Salsa!
The thing about this recipe is that it really isn’t a true “Recipe.” There are no set ingredients. You can change it to your tastes and mood.
Want more heat? Add more jalapeƱos.
Don’t like Cilantro? Don’t add it!
Feel like you want a little spicy/sweet in your mouth? Add a mango.
There is really no wrong way to make this recipe. Play around with it and find the combination you love.
This recipe does make quite a bit of salsa. So be prepared!
It’s perfect for game days and after school snacks for the week.
I make my salsa on the mild side so all of my kids devour it with a passion.
This recipe also freezes quite well. I pour some into a mason jar with room at the top for expansion, seal tightly and throw in the freezer. I love the ease of thawing out ready to go foods from the freezer!
The secret to the ease of this salsa is in the canned tomatoes and the Ninja BlendMax doing all of the work.
I have tried several different kinds of canned tomatoes. Whole, diced, petite… they all are perfectly fine options!
Quick tip: for a less “watery” salsa, use whole canned tomatoes and drain some of the water off of the canned tomatoes before adding to the blender.
- 1 medium Onion
- 1 Green Bell Pepper, seeded
- 2 JalapeƱos (seeds and veins removed for less heat)
- 4-5 cloves Garlic
- 28 oz Canned Tomatoes (whole, diced or petite)
- Juice from 1 Lime
- Cilantro
- 1/4-1/2 tsp Ground Black Pepper
- 1/2 tsp or to taste Salt
- Add peppers, onions & garlic to blender and pulse until large chunks are gone.
- Add tomatoes, lime juice, cilantro, salt & pepper.
- Pulse until desired consistency is obtained.
And now that I have been staring at these pictures of chips and salsa for the last hour while editing photos and writing this post, I am CRAVING chips and restaurant style salsa again!
Off to fulfill my cravings…
Happy Eating!
