A Night at The Royal Sonesta

Sometimes you need a little luxury in your life, the Royal Sonesta is a four diamond hotel that comes through in all the wonderfully relaxing and luxurious ways.

Jon and I have been having so much fun exploring Houston and taking mini staycations to get away. The Royal Sonesta is located in the Galleria area of Houston. This is another fun part of Houston to explore, shop and dine. 

The view from our window was stunning! I love when we get a room in the higher floors. The views really add another level of ambiance to the room. We stayed on the 21st floor. 

The room was luxurious and comfortable as the rest of the hotel. As always, I am especially fond of the gorgeously clean and organized bathroom! Can you tell I have six kids and hate cleaning bathrooms?

My favorite part of the room was the beautiful lounge couch. I had just a few things to do for work during our stay, and I am telling you, if I could I would work from that couch every single day!

The Royal Sonesta spoiled us quite a bit. They sent up a cheese and fruit tray with the sweetest welcome note and an invitation to join them at Axis Lounge for happy hour appetizers & drinks. We were more than happy to accept the invitation and enjoyed everything they served to us! 

That night we went out exploring the Galleria area. But first we explored the hotel. If anyone is planning a wedding or conference, you need to take a tour of this grand hotel! They thoughtfully planned out the large gathering areas and the decor is stunning, but tasteful. 

I snapped a picture of us on our way to dinner in the elevator mirror. Which always makes me feel crazy. But if I am going to be crazy, it will always be with this guy!

Breakfast was an over-the-top buffet of all you can imagine delicious breakfast food. They offered to make us fresh waffles, pancakes, and omelettes when we were seated to go along with the copious amount of choices in the buffet. I love a hot breakfast. Royal Sonesta really made themselves stand out with this! 

They happily obliged our request for a late check out and we spent our time in the hotel fitness room and the pool. Okay… JON spent some time in the hotel fitness room and I all my time at the pool!

The Royal Sonesta is at the top of my list for when we start planning next years mini get-aways. They truly married excellent customer service and luxurious accommodations. If you are looking for a little royal treatment, check them out and book a room!
