This week has been a doozy with four dentist appointments, school meetings, business calls, kids out of school, deadlines, and more… If there was a week where I needed a little “Mom Time Out” for my mental health, this would be the week!
This year I have been working on my mental health as well as my physical health. That means making good choices to begin with, but also giving myself grace and resetting when things get overwhelming.
I did not mean to schedule a 4 dentist appointments for one week and all the other things that ended up on my calendar… It just happened. Sometimes it doesn’t occur to me to look at all the days of the week when I am scheduling things for one day.
The hardest part of the week was for sure Tuesday when Jada had to have her teeth sealed & a small filling done to keep from forming a cavity. She did so good! That is right until we were just about done… Then she was DONE! What should have taken 5 minutes took 30 minutes with me having to lay on top of her to hold her down. It was pure torture for both her and myself. I hate seeing my baby girl upset and scared.
Our dentist is right next to Walmart which worked perfectly to make a quick stop after Jada’s appointment for to get her a stuffed unicorn for being so brave and to pick up some Celestial Seasonings Tea.
I have recently been giving myself a “Mom Time Out” when I am feeling overwhelmed, stressed or tired. I love drinking a hot cup of Celestials Seasoning Tea. My current favorites are Country Peach Passion, Honey Vanilla Chamomile, & Peppermint.
These teas are the perfect substitute for normal sugar-filled drinks. They are deliciously healthy and keep me on track for my health goals. Celestials Tea is very dedicated to sustainability and have stringless tea bags that come in recycled boxes. And you can’t beat the price. Totally in my mom budget!
My “Mom Time Out” consisted of a nice cup of Honey Vanilla Chamomile and Cinnamon Vanilla Oatmeal Bars which are easy to make and low in sugar.
CINNAMON VANILLA OATMEAL BARS

These bars are so easy and go perfectly with a cup of hot Celestial Tea. My “Mom Time Out” always resets my head and my body. And I feel good that I am making healthy choices that keep me in-line with my goals.
Happy Mom Time Out,

I have never seen a bar that has oatmeal and vanilla before. I know that if I make them they will become a favorite in our house and great with a special tea.
Those look so good. Tea and a delicious oatmeal bar, that’s speaking my love language.
The perfect midday snack! I like those flavors a lot. Definitely good to go along with some tea.
Those sound extra yummy. I have to make up a batch of these for the fam. My kids are going to love them.
This looks like the best breakfast! We love Celestial Tea, and those granola bars look amazing!
Wow, these bars look so good! I love how the tea complements them. This is one of my favorite brands yet!!
When my kids were young I used to have to have them sit on my lap and hold their arms down at times at the dentist. So stressful. I’m not a big tea drinker but the cinnamon vanilla chamomile sounds lovely.
We’ve been talking about trying to make our own bars instead of buying all the time. This looks so simple to do!
These bars are exactly what I need for my kid’s lunch box snack. I love that they are easy and so healthy!
Wow, your oatmeal cinnamon and vanilla bars looks really delicious and it is so perfect to eat with celestial herbal tea. I will definitely try to make this at my home, yummy!
Who doesn’t love a great tea? Celestial Tea is one of my favorites!
These look like a great breakfast bar or even a snack to have when I am hungry. I love how you used the tea as an additive.
