We were hosted at Hotel Alessandra. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
When my husband told me he had tickets to see the Houston Texans play the Detroit Lions in an opening season football game, I knew exactly where we were going to stay overnight! Hotel Alessandra.
Late games are my favorite kind of game to go to for any sport. We saw the Houston Astros play the Detroit Tigers last year at a baseball late game and we turned it into a mini get-away for us at Hotel Alessandra and had the best time!
My husband has been a huge fan of sports all his life and I have learned more about baseball & football than I thought I would ever know since becoming his girlfriend/wife. I gladly will come along to any game and really enjoy the energy of the fans and the thrill of the game being played live.
We had a busy summer with the kids and enjoyed getting in a lot of family time, but what we didn’t get this summer… was very many date nights. We did a lot of “at home” date nights after the kids were in bed. We both agreed it was time for a night away and a little extra couple time, and the Texans game tickets were the perfect excuse.
Hotel Alessandra is a boutique hotel with stunning decor, structures, and design. I feel “extra” from the moment I walk in. They have paid attention to every detail. Fresh flowers, pleasant staff, and luxury comfort abound at the hotel.
Our room was perfect. I don’t always love hotel mattresses, but felt this king bed was just perfect.
I am obsessed with the bathrooms at Hotel Alessandra. They have a soaking tub of my dreams. I remembered to bring a bath bomb and made a point to sit in a warm bath and relax while I had the opportunity to have no children disturb me!
We arrived early enough to sit by the pool and order some light bites and drinks. The rooftop pool is as serene and beautiful as the rest of the hotel and provided much unwinding for both Jon and I. Hey, we spent the entire summer in a pool with six kids climbing all over us!
NRG Stadium where the Texans play is just a short drive from the hotel. We took a Lyft ride so we didn’t have to worry about parking.
The game was a lot of fun and we had great seats, giving us a view of the entire field from the end zone.
After the game we stopped in at a restaurant next to Hotel Alessandra for late night appetizers. There are quite a few great restaurants within walking distance and the hotel’s Mazzerati will drive you anywhere within a 1 mile radius.
Hotel Alessandra is also home to Lucienne & Bardot for dining on site. We sat in the Bardot lounge enjoying the quiet and the company for several hours.
Hotel Alessandra is the perfect place to stay when you are going to go to a Texans game or an Astros game. Turn those tickets into a weekend of relaxing and fun!
Ps. Nespresso coffee in my room… alone… Heavenly!
