Hello my Friends,
Happy Thursday! It’s time for another ALL. THE. THING. Thursday. Which means I get to say all the random things I have been saving up all week. I missed last week due to sick kids, therapist appointments, doctor appointments, teacher meetings, and everything else that can possibly disrupt your week as a mom!
Just so you know, I am NOT complaining right now! I am so, so thankful that these disruptions can easily be handled without having to take time off or pay someone else to work a business for me. I am working from home full-time this year and am LOVING it! I feel so blessed to be able to have this blog as a business, freelance as a marketer & blog coach, and hopefully, improve on being a mom to my 6,000 children.
If you are a mom reading this and wishing you could work from home or a stay-at-home mom wishing you could earn money while being at home, let me just encourage you… YOU CAN DO IT! It may take longer than you hoped it would, it may take a few twists and turns that were not in your 5 year plan, but if you set your mind and take action on what you know…baby steps forward eventually lead to toddler running. (How is that for a visual?! HA!)
This week I am obsessed with…
My Instant Pot
Last Christmas, my family gifted me with an 8 quart Instant Pot. I will be honest, I have used it here and there, but really haven’t started creating recipes with it as it was slightly intimidating to learn a whole new appliance and how it worked. I have been turning to this pressure cooker more often over the past few weeks as school is in full session and when 6 children come home and all need attention, snacks and help with homework, dinner prep is not as easy as it was when I only had one or two kids with one page of homework.
I just made Cinnamon Applesauce in the Instant Pot two weeks ago. I bought a TON of apples since they were only $.67 per 3 lb bag! But they were starting to get a little soft and I didn’t want them to go to waste. The Instant Pot was like magic and the applesauce was done in 5 minutes cook time! WHAAAAATTTT??????
I know! Crazy pants! If you want the recipe, I just published it on the blog this week.
If you are wondering if you should put an Instant Pot on your Christmas Wish List. Then the answer is yes. Yes, you should.
Starbucks Cold Brew with Salted Cold Foam
I don’t have a photo for you, because I was so engrossed with enjoying this cup of iced coffee yesterday afternoon, I forgot to snap a picture!
I know! What kind of blogger am I? LOL
If you love cold brew and don’t like overly sweet drinks, this is a great one to try. I wish I could order a hot cup of coffee, but even though it is fall, it is still 1 million degrees here in Houston.
Aussie Leave-In Detangling Milk Miracle Curls
Both my daughters and I have curly hair. Mine is “temperamental” and often dry, and the twins hair can get extremely tangled very easily. I just discovered this Aussie Leave-In Detangling Milk and it is amazing! I can see a difference in my ends having more moisture and with the twins less drama when I need to get the knots out of their hair. If you have wavy/curly hair that needs moisture or help with detangling… Try this!
Until next week…
Thanks you for making it this far in this lengthy post of jibber-jabber. I appreciate you and think you are amazing. Hopefully, you have found something helpful here at All My Good Things and if you think of something you want to know about me, about our family, or a recipe I can help you find… Just leave a comment below or shoot me a DM over on Instagram!
Happy Thursday,
Keikilani
