We have our morning routine pretty much nailed down in our home. The kids know what to expect and we fairly smoothly get out the door on time every morning. The after-school routine…. Well, that is a lot more chaotic! Six kids who are tired from a long day, all of them needing to tell me “all the the things”, snacks to be eaten, homework to be done, and dinner to be prepped, and not to mention any activities we have for the evening!
It can be a lot. I have been observing the kids and myself and thinking of creative ways to eliminate stress and pressure. The first thing I have decided to do is to stock up on extremely easy meals that everyone loves and are extremely easy to make when the chaos is high.
You already know about my love for HEB and during my last weekly grocery run, I found Tyson® Blackened Chicken Strips in the freezer section and had a few brilliant ideas for easy meals using these already full flavored Chicken Strips. They would be perfect on a salad or in a wrap and as the kids favorite, easy chicken & biscuit sliders.
Tyson® Blackened Chicken Strips are made with 100% real, simple ingredients and their chickens are raised with no antibiotics ever. They are convenient and healthy and they also are going to help solve a part of my afternoon chaos. I love the flavors of the Blackened Chicken Strips. They have a slight “kick”, but not so spicy the kids won’t eat them. Frozen biscuits make this meal even easier as they take the same amount of time to bake in the oven as the chicken. All of our children love it when I make a recipe with a “Special Sauce.” This special sauce was inspired by the items already in our fridge and pantry. The Special Sauce is a very important part of these Chicken & Biscuit Sliders. That – and the pickles on top!
To make our Special Sauce you will need:
- 2 tbsp Mayo
- 2 tbsp BBQ Sauce
- 2 tbsp Ketchup
- 2 tbsp Honey Mustard
Combine all ingredients into a medium size bowl and stir until well combined.
Slather a good spoonful of the special sauce on both sides of the biscuit, top with dill pickles and serve to very happy children! Knowing that my freezer & fridge have several bags of Tyson® Blackened Chicken Strips, frozen biscuits and all the ingredients for our special sauce, gives me a sigh of relief knowing that dinner can be simple, easy, delicious, and on the table in just minutes. (Also perfect for a great on-the-go dinner!)
Now this is what I love. It doesn’t get much better than chicken and biscuits. This is the most southern slider recipe I’ve seen.
This is definitely a good way to feed a lot of hungry kids after a day of school and activities. We’ll have to try out the sauce!
My family would love these. They sound so delicious.
Oh my gosh do these look so good! I totally want to try the Blackened Chicken Tenders! They are zero points on WW!
Yummy! I didn’t know Tyson had this new product! We eat Tyson at least once a week. We love blackend meat! Thanks for the coupon.
I love these blackened chicken strips. I used them with Buitoni Fettuccine to make some quick chicken alfredo. I like the idea of chicken sliders with your special sauce. I can’t wait to try it!
I love how simple these are to make. I actually really love sliders too. They are the best! I haven’t made any myself yet though. Can’t wait to try these.
Oh, these sound delicious and easy! I gotta give this recipe a try this weekend.
My favorite part is the fixings! And the biscuits, of course. So delish!
I love these easy chicken biscuit sliders, what an easy meal idea for a busy day. I’ll be sharing this idea with my mom friends who are always looking for easy meal ideas to feed their family.
