Thanksgiving at our house usually means the kids table is larger than the adult table! You know with 6,000 6 kids in just our family… I have to think ahead for them to keep them entertained. This is where these printable Thanksgiving Placemats for the kids came in!
I love when kids fill out questionnaires with their own words. They often come up with the most hilarious answers to simple questions. My Father’s Day Printable Questionnaire is still a favorite every year!
Would Thanksgiving be complete without the obligatory round table of every member of the family saying what they are thankful for? I dare say, not!
This fun printable Thanksgiving Placemat gives the kids something to do while waiting for the adults to finish talking and eating, as well as give them extra time to think of all the clever & ridiculously awesome things they will say when it is their turn to say what they are thankful for!
I am pretty sure last year our favorite response was, “I am thankful I we used paper plates!” (Can you tell someone didn’t want to do the dishes?)
I printed the printable Thanksgiving Placemats onto card stock paper and then let the kids glue them onto large construction paper to give them a little color.
A new box of crayons makes all of them excited about coloring and they were distributed in small cups at each place setting.
I instructed the big boys to help their siblings with words they couldn’t figure out how to spell and their little sisters who sometimes still forget what a “P” looks like.
I love that they are getting older and independent. When they help each other (instead of fighting) my heart just melts!
If you are going to have kids at your Thanksgiving Table, don’t just think about the main decorations for the adult table, which is important… Think about the kids and giving them something to do while the adults take their time to finish the feast that you worked so hard on!
