New year. New planner! I have rounded up the Best Day Planners for Moms that I love and have personally used.
For several years I would purchase a planner and get on board and actually use it for a few weeks, maybe a few months… Sometimes it was the fault of the planner layout, but most of the time is was my fault… I just wasn’t committed or consistent.
Does this sound familiar? Tell me I am not alone!
About 4 years ago, I changed my mindset and focused on finding a planner that would fit my needs as a mom and committed to actually using it on a daily and weekly basis. This is what actually changed my life!
I have used several different types and styles of planners over the years. And I wanted to share my favorites with you. These are the best day planners for moms in my opinion.
Daily Layout Day Planners
This is the planner I am using this year. The Day Designer Strategic Planner & Daily Agenda.
So far, I am loving it. I will warn you, it’s big and heavy. But I love the page layout for each day. It give me room for both my schedule and to-do list as well as space for notes, meal plans, intentions and more.
I am GIVING AWAY a Day Designer Luxury Planner! Head to Instagram or Facebook to enter to win one this week! Giveaway ends January 10th, 2020!
Weekly Layout Day Planners
This is the layout I used for the past two years. I love the ability to see the entire week at once and know where I had space to add in appointments and time blocking for work or house chores. The advantage of this planner is its size. It is lighter and can easily fit in most bags.
The downside for this planner is less space for big To-Do list makers like myself. I carried a small notebook around with my To-Do list and notes with the planner to keep track of everything.
Monthly Wall Calendars
Monthly wall calendars are perfect for seeing the big picture. I use one for keeping track of our families schedules and another one for keeping track of content for my blog and when it is due.
You can find some beautiful calendars for the wall or invest in a dry erase board calendar that can be updated each month. I will admit, I am just too lazy to erase and rewrite mine each month!
Accessories
Erin Condren has the perfect pencil pouch that holds all of my pencils, pens, & highlighters and doubles as a strap to wrap around my planner keeping everything in place. This thing goes everywhere with me!
If you love stickers, then you will be able to decorate to your hearts content with the stickers from The Happy Planner! They have sticker books with different themes to brighten your daily grind and keep your eye on the prize!
I have personally used the linked planners and accessories over the last four years and I have loved each of them for different reasons. Here are several tips for making the planner work for me:
- Put it where you will see it every day. Don’t leave it in a bag or a room that you rarely use. Put it on top of your coffee maker every night if you need to!
- Set a time every week to update your planner, schedule tasks and plan for the future.
- Consider using a time-block method to accomplish more during your week and use your planner to track how that system works for you.
