Date night is the perfect time to try something you would not normally make at home for the whole family, so when I saw Roasted Goat Cheese & Spicy Garlic Marinara Dip on the appetizer menu I had to order it!
After that beautiful appetizer experience of dipping toasted baguette slices into hot marinara and slightly blackened goat cheese and raving with my husband about how delicious it was… I came home determined to recreate this roasted goat cheese & spicy garlic marinara dip.
Cheese is life. Cheese makes just about everything better. I am pretty sure I have never had anything with melted cheese on it or in it that I did not like!
Goat Cheese is distinct and has a tangy flavor. It is a nice price point at the grocery store and there are so many delicious varieties of soft goat cheese that make it perfect for any charcuterie board. I also highly recommend a drizzle of honey on your goat cheese for an extra delicious experience.
This appetizer is my go-to “Wow” appetizer. It feels fancy and complicated, but it could not be easier!
I keep the ingredients simple by using my favorite jarred spicy Arrabbiata marinara sauce from the grocery store. You can use whatever marinara is your favorite, but I highly recommend a spicy flavor as that balances out the goat cheese so beautifully.
The wine is also optional in this recipe. It does give the sauce another layer of sweetness in the background that gives it that complicated layer of flavors you expect in a homemade sauce.
I have made this roasted goat cheese & spicy garlic marinara dip at my mastermind retreat for the past two years and have every intention of making it again this year. I love that I get to cook for our retreat every year and this is the one recipe that we will always have on our menu!
The kitchen at our Air BnB last year was so beautiful and bright. As you can see, I didn’t have my normal oven proof pan to bake the dip in. So I improvised and transferred it to a not-so-gorgeous pyrex. But it totally did the job!

- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
- 2 tbsp Garlic, diced
- 1/3 cup Red Wine, optional
- 1 1/2 cup Spicy Marinara Sauce
