Do you know what is going to give me the energy I need to get through the summer? Protein! Protein from LALA® Yogurt Smoothies and cool Cranberry Chicken Salad.
The hot weather and long days of summer are officially here. No more school. A lack of routine.
But that is okay. I have learned how to survive and even thrive during the long weeks of summer break!
Stay cool and keep the protein high and the carbs low.
I love having a quick fuel up with LALA® Yogurt Smoothies. Isn’t their new packaging awesome?
Number one: They are delicious! My favorites are Mango and Pina Colada. They are not too sweet and they are so refreshing. Made with real fruit & probiotics. And of course, cool and portable.
In other words, grab one as you head to the backyard to watch the kids splash in the pool.
Number two: They have 5g of protein per bottle! Yes! Protein. That essential ingredient to your diet that will give you energy, help keep you full, and is a part of healthy diet. YES, PLEASE!
Number three: You can find them at Walmart and you can use Walmart Grocery Pickup. Look for their new, fun packaging too!
Right now you can get $3 off LALA® Yogurt Smoothies using Ibotta and even more savings when you open your Valpak envelope. SCORE!
For a quick, high protein lunch, I pair a LALA® Yogurt Smoothie with my favorite Cranberry Apple Chicken Salad. It is so easy to make and I keep it low carb by serving it on sliced apples.
This recipe is great for using up leftover chicken from dinner last night!
TIP: To shred cooked chicken quickly, toss it into your stand mixer and turn it on low. You won’t believe how fast it shreds the chicken!
You can add nuts, such as pecans, to this recipe for even more protein and crunch. I am not a fan of nuts, so I leave them out.
