Hey there! I’m glad you stopped by!
My name is Keikilani (Pronounced: Cake-E-Lawnee.)
To answer your question: YES. I was born and raised in Hawaii which is where I got my unusual name. (My name is Hawaiian. It means Child of Heaven.) My family calls me Keiki and my friends call me Lani, but hardly anyone uses my full name, Keikilani. Unless I am in trouble… Then the full name comes out!
I am a mom of 6,ooo 6 kids, and wife to my husband of 14 years. I survive on caffeine, laughing with my kids, cooking in the kitchen, hiding in the pantry eating chocolate, and helping other women know they are not alone in the chaos of motherhood.
I would classify myself as “semi-normal” mom even with six kiddos. My children are ages 11, 9, 7, 7 5 & 5. Half of my minions are biological and the other half adopted from foster care. They go to public school (Because Jesus told her NEVER to homeschool!) and spend as much time as possible being active and getting out all the energy.
Our children are a blend of adopted and biological babies.
We adopted our youngest 3 from foster care. They were our first placements after being licensed as foster parents. I love supporting families who are thinking about becoming foster parents or adopting. You can read more about foster care, adoption and our journey or send me an email and I would love to support you on your journey!
I started this blog in 2011 as a way to share my recipes with friends and family.
All My Good Things began in 2011 and is a platform where women (especially moms) will be encouraged to find the good in every day life. That could be a great new recipe to make at home, a product that will save them time, a travel destination for the whole family (or just mom & dad), fun things for kids to do, parenting tips, and household hacks. Most of all, All My Good Things wants you to be reminded that you are amaizing and it’s the little things that make up the good life.
I will be the first to tell you that I am not the perfect mom. I don’t have it all together. My kids often wear mismatched clothes (if they are wearing clothes at all!), my house is not Instagram perfectly decorated, I have no idea what I am doing with my make-up routine, and if fashion is yoga pants, I am winning!
If you are like me and have felt the pressure to be the perfect, regularly suppress mom guilt, need all the hacks, tips, & advice for your house, the kids, and just need a good, easy recipe for your family, then you are at the right place!
My mission is to encourage you, my sister, my friend, to realize that there are so many good things in your life. They may be small, or hard to see some days during this journey to survive motherhood, but they are there.
Hence, the name of this blog. All My Good Things.
I hope you will keep stopping by for the recipes, the family life tips, real motherhood stories and the kid stuff. You can subscribe to never miss a post.
Follow me on Instagram for the Insta-Stories that can’t be staged with six kids and chaos in the background.
Join me on Pinterest where I get most of my food inspiration and learn all the mom hacks.
And if Facebook is your favorite playground, I am there too!
Feel free to poke around this site and message me questions! Send me an email through my Contact Page or DM me on your favorite Social Media!
I’m not super mom by any means, but I do try to channel Mary Poppins!!! Thank you for stopping by and I hope we become good friends!
XOXO,
Keikilani
